East Kilbride Cricket Club (EKCC) was founded in 1962, establishing organised cricket in the town and becoming one of East Kilbride’s longest-standing sports clubs. Since its formation, the club has been run entirely by dedicated volunteers, helping build a strong community-driven sporting culture. From the beginning, the club has fielded senior (adult) teams competing in structured league cricket under the Western District Cricket Union (WDCU) — the regional governing body for club cricket in western Scotland.
Brian Kampman (President)
The Co-President of East Kilbride Cricket Club has been a member of the club since the 1970s. He joined as an opening bowler and middle-order batsman, known for his aggressive batting style.
David Healy
(President)
The Co-President of East Kilbride Cricket Club has been a member since the age of 12 and has now been associated with the club for 21 years.
Iftikhar Khan (Secretary)
Iftikhar Khan joined East Kilbride Cricket Club in 2010 and quickly established himself as a reliable right-arm medium-pace bowler, known for his accuracy and control.
Stewart Kampman
Stewart Kampman (former Captain) is a long-standing senior player who progressed through East Kilbride Cricket Club’s junior system and has represented both club and country at youth level.
David Irish
David Irish (former Captain) is a senior leader at East Kilbride Cricket Club, bringing international playing experience and strong leadership to the club both on and off the field.
EKCC operates a structured cricket programme that includes both senior and junior sections. The senior setup features:
1st XI Senior Team competing in organised league cricket
