Our U12s travelled to Greenock and delivered a fantastic victory in what was a thoroughly enjoyable contest.

The match also marked the debut appearances of Tristan and Ariah, both of whom showed exactly why they belong in the EK setup, putting in performances full of confidence, determination, and quality.

Special mention must go to our captain, Mitchell, whose leadership and heroics throughout the match were simply outstanding. The future of EK is certainly in safe hands.

Credit must also be given to the Greenock youngsters, who played with great spirit, pushed us all the way, and made us work hard for every moment of success.

Overall, it was an evening that brought out the very best in everyone involved and showcased exactly what youth cricket is all about.

And, of course, a final mention for the midges, who seemed determined to make their own impact on the game by trying to eat everyone alive!
