Nayma Sheikh
EK Cricket Club is proud to be represented by Scotland Women’s international and Scotland-A Captain, Nayma Sheikh. Nayma brings elite international experience, leadership, and inspiration to EKCC.
She has represented Scotland in U15s/U17s/U19s and at the highest level (National Women’s Team), competing in two ICC World Cups and three World Cup Qualifiers, establishing herself as a consistent performer on the international stage. Her achievements reflect positively on EKCC, showcasing the club’s role in developing top-level talent.
Furthermore, in addition to winning numerous awards, Nayma has received prestigious national honours, including the Young Scot Award — one of Scotland’s most respected accolades for young people, recognising excellence, leadership, and outstanding contribution to both sport and the wider community.
Nayma has also made history as the first-ever Scottish cricket player (male or female) to win the Winning Students 100 Scholar Award, part of Scotland’s national sports scholarship programme supporting high-performance student athletes.
