About the Club


East Kilbride Cricket Club

East Kilbride Cricket Club combines a respected cricketing heritage with a progressive vision for the sport in our region. We uphold our traditions while developing facilities, coaching pathways and an inclusive culture, ensuring we remain a club of choice within the Scottish game.

Founding and Early Years

EKCC was founded in 1962, making it one of the oldest cricket clubs in the town of East Kilbride. The club is run entirely by volunteers. As noted in a motion in the UK Parliament celebrating its 60th anniversary, EKCC has played a “profound difference to grassroots sport” in East Kilbride. The club’s home ground is at Torrance House, Calderglen Country Park, East Kilbride.

Zehra Khan

Zehra is a former Hub participant and is now on MCCF’s Coaching Scholarship Programme. She is also a rising star with Cricket Scotland having been selected for the Scotland Emerging Girls team.

Nayma Sheikh

Pakistani cricketer nayma sheikh has become the first Scottish player to receive the prestigious winning students 100 Scotland national sports scholarship
