A nail-biting encounter at Shawholm sees East Kilbride lose out marginally against a premiership Poloc CC in the Rowan Cup round of 16.
EKCC lost the toss and were put into bat. The innings started bumpy, however it was anchored by Adil Hussain and Imran Mughal. The innings was topped off by some hitting by Umair getting the total to 95 for 6 after 20.
Poloc started off well with a good first innings partnership however Saleem Sabir got the breakthrough which allowed Josh Johnston to pick up a wicket and Moneeb to get 4 wickets from 2 overs. However some good batting from Craig Young, the Poloc skipper, sealed their win with 5 balls to spare despite being 6 wickets down.
