East Kilbride played host to Stenhousemuir on Saturday. The weather again dry and fairly warm. EK lost the toss and were put into bat against the travellers.

EK openers Imran Mughal and Adil Hussain started brightly again Imran falling short of another half century on 42. Qasim Sheikh batted well through the middle overs to get up to 69. Gavin Meikle also finding form this season to make his way to 41 before being given out to a suspect LBW decision. EK ending their innings on 272 all out. On the day probably still short of what could have been.

Stenhousemuir lost an early wicket putting them on the back foot however, finding a partnership to steady their ship. Stenhousemuir stalwart and pro Rushdie Jappie as always kept the runs coming building small but effective partnerships around him. The game was looking to get extremely close. Spinner Josh Johnston coming into the attack late stoped the en slaught of runs and keeping his end tight. Key wickets taken due to the build of pressure at his end, Jappie hauling out for 86. Late lusty blows from the Stenhousemuir tail end still kept them in the hunt. Umair Khan picking up a further 3 wickets along with Josh Johnston also taking another 3 key late wickets.
