EKCC’s 1st team continued their league campaign hosting GHK on Saturday. Ek won the toss and batted first.
Half centuries from opener Imran Mughal and captain Moneeb Iqbal along with 32 from Gavin Meikle saw the home side post a commanding first innings total of 202 all out.
The GHK openers took no time at all to get started and soon boundaries started to come for the away side. It took a direct hit from Saleem Sabir to break the partnership with a run out. A fast bouncer from Umair Khan took care of the number 3. Then it was over to Saleem to run through the middle order as he finished with figures of 5 for 31. Another wicket for Umair Khan and one for Josh Johnston along with another run out saw the away side bowled out for 146 giving Ek a 56 run win.
