Sunday saw EK welcome West to Torrance house in a CSL 40 clash seeing both teams bringing unbeaten records into the game. Captain Harmanjit Singh won the toss and decided on the strength of the previous days batting display to bat first and set a target. Gary Kleinveldt and Craig Smith both opened again with both batsmen continuing their great form. Craig was dispatching the bad ball ruthlessly and Gary looked solid and scoring effortlessly. An opening stand of 119 which was similar to the one we were on the receiving end of the previous day, was broken when Craig attempting a reverse sweep and being adjudged LBW for a well made 56. This brought Stewart to the crease who continued the momentum with Gary as he reached his 50 and progressed towards his maiden EK century. Stewart soon fell for 21 which saw Josh promoted to number 4 seeking quick runs towards the end of the innings. Gary soon reached his century at a better rate than a run a ball and set off towards 150. Josh soon fell searching for one too many big shots for 24 from 19. Gary fell agonisingly short of his 150 reaching 148 not out from 137 balls with 16 x 4's and 2 x 6's. This set a formidable target of 270 for West to win the game.

Stewart and Tom opened the bowling with West quickly falling well behind the rate. Stewart bowled his full 10 overs straight through with no reward of a wicket for his fine spell. Suicidal running from West saw the first wicket fall, then Gary picked up 2 wickets to add to his great innings earlier. Wickets from that point fell regularly and were all shared around apart from Stewart who was the best bowler on display the full day just exceedingly unlucky not to get what his great spell deserved. West were bowled out for 123 to give EK a 146 run victory. EK now progress to the semi finals and will play Greenock at home on 11th August.
