EK oyster catchers keep their 100% record with a convincing win at Hamilton crescent on Saturday. After winning the toss captain opted to bat first on a wicket which looked liked it’s going to be slow and low later on.

Harmanjit Singh and Alistair Dalgleish open the day with a sloppy start and brought Stewart Kampman to the crease to score the innings of the day with a splendid 74. Helpful cameos from Joel Richardson and Craig Smith brought the travelling side to a very defendable 221. Second innings started with a bit of sun for a change, Kampman kept his form with the opening wicket. The home side however managed to take the score to 68 for 1 courtesy some good batting by Andrew Umeed. With a much required breakthrough provided from Umair who found himself with a hatrick opportunity which was scuffed through keeper and slip for 4, he finished up with figures of 3 for 17. Tight bowling from Shah and Umair also some fine fielding from the ring to dry the runs up, the visitors found themselves in the driving seat and a tumble of wickets fell. Later in the day Umair Khan who showed some aggression in the later overs and again Shah who was the pick of the bowlers finishing the game off and fine figures of 5 for 14.

West found themselves stranded 110 runs short. Great effort by EKCC which takes them to the start of the League next week hosted by Renfrew. Next Leg of the Scottish Cup games will start from Mid June.
